2019 HCCA Membership Meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month (except November and December) from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Next Meeting: Wednesday, May 15, 6 p.m. Speaker: Harford County Councilman, Andre Johnson. We will also be discussing opposition to the proposed Abingdon Business Park.
May 20, 5-6 p.m.: Street Protest against the Abingdon Business Park. Meet in the Saint Francis de Sales parking lot at 1450 Abingdon Rd, Abingdon, MD 21009
May 21: Chesapeake Climate Action Network Founder and Director Mike Tidwell will be speaking at the Maritime Museum in Havre de Grace at 7 p.m. CCAN is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the impacts and solutions associated with climate change in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. He is also an author and filmmaker who predicted in vivid detail the Hurricane Katrina disaster in his 2004 book: Bayou Farewell: The Rich Life and Tragic Death of Louisiana’s Cajun Coast. He is also a member of the Maryland Commission on Climate Change, created by the state of Maryland in 2007, to address climate change effects on the Bay’s ecology and human health in Maryland.
