Say NO to Plastic Bags

Pledge to not use single use plastic bags and use reusable shopping bags.  Ask store managers to make available reusable shopping bags for purchase if they do not already have the available.

I just saw your site when I searched for ban plastic bags in Harford county..I heard there was a state wide ban bill that was to prohibited
Grocery stores from providing plastic bags On July 1..Is this inaccurate..they still have them
And know nothing about a ban??
Thanks for any info that you have on this.

    • I also heard that the ban passed but I don’t know details about implementation, “grand-fathering”, etc. I read this: “ Beginning July 1, 2022, all retail establishments would be prohibited from distributing any bag less than four mils thick to any customer unless the bag contains: prescription drugs or live fish, multiple plastic bags, fruits or vegetables provided by a farm or orchard, among other authorized uses, the bill states.” Did you ask the management of the store where you were shopping about the new law?

Do you know who to contact in Harford county
Government..to ask why stores are still giving out plastic bags?? People’s mindset will never change until they ban plastic bags for a start.
Bringing reusable bags would become the no
People won’t change unless they are forced to
It worked for smoking ban in public places
Now that is the norm.. thanks
