Next Meeting
Meetings in 2024 will be held on the third Wednesday of every “odd” month except November, when we have an annual meeting, and December, which we take off.
We are also holding regular potlucks in 2024 on a Saturday in even months. Dates are 4/6/24, 6/15/24, 8/10/24, 10/12/24.
Saturday, April 20, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Aberdeen Earth Day Festival. Rain date, 4/21. Stop by HCCA’s table!
Monday, April 22, 12:30 p.m. HCCA EARTH DAY HIKE: Meet at Kilgore Falls, 1026 Falling Branch Rd, Pylesville, MD 21132. You can also meet at noon at 1523 Rock Spring Rd, Forest Hill, MD, the location of the now-closed David’s Natural Food Market to carpool to Kilgore Falls.
Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Harford Land Trust Spring Fling. Visit HCCA’s table! Parking lot across from 22 W. Pennsylvania Ave, Bel Air, MD
Tuesday, May 7, 10:30-11:30 a.m., Adopt-a-Road Winter Clean-Up. Meet in the parking lot of Southampton Middle School, 1200 Moores Mill Road, Bel Air, MD. Brings garden gloves and “pinchers” if you have them.
Wednesday, May 15, 6-8 p.m.: 2024 Membership Meeting. All welcome. Location: St Matthew Lutheran Church, 1200 E Churchville Rd, Bel Air, MD. Education Building 2, Second Floor. Park in lot closest to Churchville Road.
Friday, May 17, 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Bel Air Garden Mart. HCCA will be selling the native host plants for Bel Air Five butterflies and moth as well as native pollinator plants!
Saturday, June 15, 6-8 p.m.: 2024 “Love Green” Vegetarian or Vegan Potluck. Location: St Matthew Lutheran Church, 1200 E Churchville Rd, Bel Air, MD. Chapel, First Floor Fellowship Hall. Enter through Education Building. Park in lot closest to Churchville Rd. Email hcclimateaction@gmail.com if you would like a 5-10 minute slot to perform a poem, give a speech, do stand-up comedy, or perform music. We’re scheduling a total of 20 minutes of each potluck for performance!
